[0:29] Look at that shows what I know. All right, I will call this special meeting of the Bloomington City council to order. It is Tuesday 15 July and this is our meeting to have a second interview with two of our city manager candidates, Zach Walker and Kathy Hadim. [0:46] Alright, let's go with the 1st. I'll bring in mr. Walker. Soda. I was like, No, the pet soda last night. Should have brought coffee on here. [1:22] I'm trying to see if I can think of this. Hello. Tell me on the news this afternoon. Oh. We're talking about the scrambling aid. Oh, ok. Yeah, that was a fun little day. Yeah to see you again. [1:43] Good to see you. I wonder if it's related to Bolston. Exactly. [1:48] I know that guy. No, it's, you can say that because as we were walking up here in one of our police officers said, Do you have a son who wants a cabin on Boston lake? Maybe? Who wants to know? I don't. Okay, good. [2:05] Well, Zach, thanks for coming back tonight. We appreciate it. We had a good discussion last night and a lot of folks, a lot of good things that folks thought of your your your interview and and what wanted to bring it back for round two is we can learn more about you and ultimately make this decision. It's a very important decision. [2:25] We, well, we were gonna set this up tomorrow informally, ok, tonight. We're just gonna ask not scripted questions, but folks can ask their questions and follow up and the scope will probably still go around so nobody jumps on their six questions all at once and dominates the. And we'll we'll just go around and and let folks so. [2:44] Make this a conversational kind of opportunity and we'll go about. 45 min 45 min. So I'm not going to start because I started last night and whoever would like to start, jump on in. Just clarifying question. Are we also going to have opportunities for candidates to ask us questions? Yes absolutely. Yes. When I say conversation, I hope this is the two way conversation. Perfect. Absolutely. Thank you for that clarification. Yes. [3:08] What's the jump in? I just remember Dell Alessandro. I'm not the only one that prepared obviously so I'm curious, but I'd love for you to articulate like what your management style is. What do you find gratifying about being the leader of a large group of people. [3:26] What taxes you, like give us a little bit of insight into like, you know, what you love about that and what you don't. Sure, I wanna say again you gave a nice introduction mayor, but I do want to thank you all for the privilege and opportunity to be back with you tonight and to be at this stage in the process. It's, it's very humbling and gratifying, so thank you. You know, I spoke a little. [3:45] Bit yesterday about the ICMA Code of ethics. And and for me that's really. You know, home base for me. I'm very serious about an ethical principled style of management, making sure that my staff understand that our role in our job is to bring thoughtful, well reasoned, well researched options be…
