[0:00] [Applause] [0:03] [Music] [0:04] [Applause] [0:05] [Music] [0:05] [Applause] [0:08] [Music] [0:11] [Applause] [0:14] [Music] [0:16] hello and thanks for tuning in to [0:18] Bloomington today let's take a look at [0:20] the latest news in Bloomington [0:22] Bloomington residents share feedback on [0:24] their experiences living here according [0:27] to the results of the 2024 National [0:29] Community Sur survey 89% of respondents [0:32] rated the city as excellent or good [0:35] overall quality of life also ranked high [0:37] with 84% saying it is excellent or good [0:41] nine and 10 respondents said that they [0:43] felt very safe or somewhat safe in their [0:45] neighborhoods and in bloomington's [0:47] commercial areas the praise continue to [0:50] flow for bloomington's drinking water [0:52] with a 90% approval rating and about 9 [0:55] and 10 residents positively rated the [0:57] overall quality of Maintenance at their [0:59] local parks for more information and [1:02] additional survey results visit the link [1:04] on your screen be sure to participate in [1:07] public engagement on sidewalk snow [1:09] removal the city is looking to adjust [1:11] the current sidewalk snow removal [1:13] process to better align with the rest of [1:15] its snow removal operations and improve [1:17] winter conditions for pedestrians the [1:20] current city operation clears snow from [1:22] all public sidewalks and trails in [1:24] Bloomington this can take anywhere from [1:26] 1 to 3 days depending on the amount of [1:28] snow accumulation while Street and [1:30] culdesac plowing is completed the same [1:33] day the city is seeking your input [1:35] regarding possible adjustments to [1:37] clearing sidewalks of snow you're [1:39] invited to attend a virtual session on [1:41] Tuesday March 18th to learn more about [1:43] current operations and discuss potential [1:45] adjustments the first session is at noon [1:48] and the second is at 6:30 p.m. both will [1:51] contain the same information links to [1:53] the virtual event and additional [1:55] information can be found on the let's [1:57] talk Bloomington page listed on your [1:59] screen there will also be an in-person [2:01] session on Wednesday March 26th at Civic [2:04] Plaza from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. that's [2:08] wrap on this week's buzz if you would [2:10] like to see more stories highlighting [2:11] people places and projects in [2:13] Bloomington watch other features right [2:15] here on our YouTube channel thanks for [2:17] watching
