Let's take a look at [0:20] the latest news in Bloomington. [0:21] Bloomington Family Aquatic Center is [0:23] closed for the remainder of the season. [0:26] After careful consideration and [0:27] consultation with contractors, the city [0:30] has decided to close the facilities for [0:32] the rest of the season. The closure is [0:34] due to a leak discovered during recent [0:36] routine maintenance that makes continued [0:38] operation unsustainable. The repairs [0:41] needed are significant and will take [0:43] weeks to complete, leaving little [0:45] remaining time in the swimming season [0:47] and insufficient staff to reopen the [0:50] facility. All season passholders will [0:52] receive a full refund on their purchase. [0:55] Passholders received an email with more [0:57] details on the process. There will not be [1:07] any changes to sidewalk snow removal in [1:09] the city at this time. The city council [1:12] considered changes to sidewalk snow [1:13] removal operations at its July 14th [1:16] meeting. The council chose not to move [1:18] forward with any changes on snow removal [1:20] at this time and city crews will [1:23] continue to plow the sidewalks. There [1:25] was a consensus on the council that the [1:27] current system for sidewalks is not [1:29] meeting the city's standards for [1:31] efficient, effective, and highquality [1:33] service delivery and there was support [1:35] to continue the conversation.
