[0:01] We are in the library building [0:03] and we are celebrating phase one of the library building construction [0:08] that we've been doing for the last 18 months, where we renovated [0:12] this opening area here as well as downstairs, [0:15] we renovated classrooms, [0:17] we renovated service spaces for our office for students with disabilities, [0:21] as well as the SSS Trio program and Upward Bound program, [0:25] and then made IT services front and center to give support to students. [0:29] What you'll see is a commitment to the idea [0:32] that libraries are meant to be communities of learning. [0:35] I am so thankful for everyone involved in this project. [0:39] You heard our cries, and you gave us more space. [0:42] We are learning that our students, they evolve and as our demographics change [0:47] and as our institution continues to grow, our students need spaces [0:51] that really meet their needs. [0:53] So our students told us they need study spaces, collaborative spaces. [0:57] So we built little nooks and crannies all over for students to gather, [1:01] as well as spaces that really meet the needs of the different offices [1:04] that serve students. [1:06] One of the other key things we did is we wanted to make our building [1:10] more accessible, and so we wanted the restrooms to be more accessible. [1:14] We wanted the elevator to be more accessible. [1:16] It is so important that we continue to serve our students [1:20] and our community in the most accessible way that we can. [1:23] And so we made some major changes to also ADA [1:26] So I'm so excited. I'm so happy. [1:29] And I just want to say thank you to everybody involved.
