[0:25] The City's pay as you throw system will stay in place, but the price differences [0:29] between cart sizes will increase, meaning smaller carts will cost less. [0:33] A new, lower priced every other week pickup option will also be offered [0:37] for households with the smallest cart and very little trash. [0:41] These proposed updates, shaped by a detailed rate study and resident [0:45] feedback, aimed to keep service affordable and encourage waste reduction. [0:49] Preliminary rates were presented to the City Council in July, [0:52] with final proposed rates shared on October 20th. [1:09] On Monday, November 17th, a proclamation for Small Business [1:12] Saturday was read at the City Council meeting reminding us of the outstanding [1:16] contributions small businesses make to our local economy and community. [1:21] Daniel Hernandez, the owner of Colonial Market, and Brittany Milan, [1:24] the owner of Eleve Performing Arts Center, were there to accept the proclamation. [1:28] I am very, very happy to be here, and very happy to fulfill [1:33] the need in, what it's called, food desert. [1:37] I think I'm getting good at it because, also have a store in north Minneapolis [1:42] where there was a huge need of food, and we're being fulfilled on that. [1:48] Stop by anytime. [2:17] Because of [2:17] their efforts, we were able to begin an exciting new chapter [2:21] in a brand new four studio space located in the Penn Lake Shopping Center [2:25] right here in Bloomington.
