Hello there. My name is Saw Mua and I am an alumni of the Bloomington leadership program. I also served on the 2020 budget advisory committee and today I am honored to serve as an atlarge city council [music] member here in Bloomington, Minnesota. >> I saw MUA do solemnly swear >> that I will support the Constitution of the United States >> that I will support the Constitution of the United States. >> Hi, we are members of the Bloomington Leadership Program. We are Bloomington proud. >> When I think of Bloomington and our mission to cultivate an enduring and remarkable community, what people want to be, these are the events that bring us together and reflect that mission that we have at the city. >> When I applied for the leadership program, my goal [music] was pretty simple. I just wanted to learn more about our city. I never imagined how it would change my life. And when I look back on the impact that Asian-Americans, Pacific Islanders, Native Hawaiians have had in our city, I am thrilled to see all of these spaces here today, sharing, caring [music] for each other, and showing that Bloomington truly is the place that people want to be. I'm proud to be part of building a Bloomington where connectedness and community continue to grow.
