[0:01] We wanted to tell a story that the community [0:03] would really appreciate and like and love about Bloomington Ice Garden. [0:07] The mural as a whole is just under ten feet tall by about 90ft. [0:11] It's really important to make this place feel as though everybody is welcome. [0:15] Every group that skates here is also represented here. [0:18] My name is Adam Turman. [0:19] I'm a full time artist and I specialize in murals and painting. [0:24] I like to do a lot of work that's really Minnesota and Midwestern based. [0:28] I tend to work with a lot of bold and bright colors. [0:31] It's really exciting for me. [0:32] Typically, I'm working [0:33] pretty quickly with some of my clients and the brands that I work with. [0:36] This one was a little bit of a longer process [0:38] because we got the community involved. [0:40] This is very heavily trafficked area in here. [0:43] Doing a mural that's on vinyl in this space makes way more sense. [0:46] We're here in Bloomington, actually off of County 35 and Girard. [0:49] Super rewarding for us. [0:50] You know, obviously, this being in our backyard, [0:52] we love being involved as much of the community stuff as we possibly can. [0:55] It's very rewarding. [0:56] I really like the movement throughout the whole piece. [0:59] I think a big part of [1:00] it was that feeling that you get when you walk into the space. [1:03] So what am I going to do here? [1:05] Those activities are like, you're going to skate in some way, shape or form. [1:08] I love these murals because they really bring a space to life. [1:11] And for people coming in and seeing the colors, [1:13] I mean everybody, it puts a smile on their face. [1:16] And for me, it makes the atmosphere so much more fun.
