Hello, Bloomington Public Schoolscommunity. I'm School Board Chair Matt Dymoke. And I'm Superintendent Eric Melbye. And we're here with a quick update from our Monday,November 10th school board meeting. So we started by approvingthe teacher contract with the Bloomington Federation of Teachers for the 2025through 2027 years. It'll be a salary increase of 2.3% inthe first year and 2% in the second year. So we're super excitedto have this contract settled and ready to move forward. It'sgreat news. This is one of several contractsin progress with our employee bargaining groups. And typicallythe teachers are the first to be finalized. Setting salary agreementshelps us move forward with the district budgeting process. Some other businesswe took care of, at the board meeting, the school board canvassedthe November 4th election results. What that means is the resultswere officially reviewed and accepted. One new board member, Ted Moore, willjoin the board in January, along with Tom Bennett, Dawn Steigauf and Matt Dymoke,who won their reelection bids. And they will serve four yearterms beginning January 5th. Incredibly excitedto be coming back to the board table come January, and also want to say a bigthank you to Beth Beebe, who served two terms on the boardand did not run for reelection. She's currently serving as our treasurerand will retire at the end of December. So thank you, Beth, for your service. And finally, we approvedthe Edgenuity contract, which is a system that helps with credit recoveryfor our students over at Choice Academy. So really excited to to see what workwe can do with Edgenuity. So that's it for our short board recapfrom our short board business meeting early in November.
