[0:00] hi my name is Max favor with Bloomington [0:02] Fire I'm a firefighter EMT here at [0:05] Bloomington Fire we do a lot more than [0:07] just fire maybe 70 80% of our calls are [0:10] actually EMS so what we're going to [0:12] demonstrate for you here today is called [0:14] a stair chair so we're in a stairwell [0:16] Alec is our patient sitting in the stair [0:18] chair with our other stair chairs [0:20] they're manual someone in front someone [0:22] in the back and we are physically [0:24] lifting this person most of the way up [0:26] the stairs or down the stairs with this [0:28] power chair it's to Save A Lot on our [0:31] backs and necks and all kinds of things [0:34] and the tracks on here are what is [0:37] powered so they will do the heavy [0:39] lifting here instead of us
