[0:00] VEP is a community service organization
[0:02] based out of South Henipin County. We
[0:04] work primarily in the cities of
[0:06] Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and
[0:09] Minneapolis. Ever since the height of
[0:12] the pandemic, we've just been seeing
[0:14] increased need year after year after
[0:16] year, not only for access to fresh and
[0:18] healthy foods, but also for housing
[0:20] stability services.
[0:22] Every person that we see has their own
[0:24] story. So I think when we're serving
[0:26] people food, we need to be appreciative
[0:29] of the much broader story that they're
[0:31] coming in with and be compassionate and
[0:34] affirming, but there's a great sense of
[0:36] camaraderie amongst the volunteers. I
[0:39] think we're committed for the same thing
[0:40] to give the best service that we can to
[0:43] these people in a very affirming,
[0:45] supportive way. It's big enough so that
[0:47] we can have a a good support service
[0:50] system. So it's just not giving out
[0:52] food. It's broad enough that we can have
[0:54] the luxury to really serve the whole
[0:56] needs that people have. It's a rich
[0:58] experience. Yeah.
