[0:06] hi my name is Matt cwell I'm a

[0:07] recreation supervisor with the city of

[0:09] Bloomington and I've been with the city

[0:11] for almost 2 years now so I got started

[0:13] in Parks and Recreation I was working

[0:16] for a water park for a NOA County Parks

[0:18] I was talking to my boss at the time and

[0:20] I told him how much I really loved what

[0:22] we did there in public Recreation he

[0:24] told me how you can go to school for

[0:26] that I got my bachelor's degree in

[0:27] Recreation management and did some

[0:29] part-time jobs around the Metro with

[0:31] different cities and I ended up with the

[0:33] city of Bloomington in a full-time

[0:34] Recreation supervisor role so it's hard

[0:37] to say a typical day for me cuz it

[0:39] changes so much and that's one of the

[0:41] reasons I love my job so today we're out

[0:43] at walking Club later I'll head back to

[0:45] the office do some planning for next

[0:47] summer and for winter coming up but

[0:48] every day is is a little bit different

[0:50] in Parks and Recreation so what I enjoy

[0:52] most about my job is helping people I

[0:54] love the idea of being a public servant

[0:57] and just being able to help people get

[0:59] access to recre activities seeing the

[1:01] smile I bring to people's faces and the

[1:03] joy I bring to their life it makes me

[1:04] feel so good and that's one of the

[1:05] reasons I love my job so much so I

[1:07] believe that Parks and Recreation is

[1:08] extremely important for any Community

[1:10] it's such an important thing for any

[1:12] municipality to to offer to their

[1:14] citizens and I'm so happy to be able to

[1:16] be a part of that
