Bloomington Announces Summer Events, Language-Accessible Health Fairs
The City of Bloomington announced several summer community events and resources during its weekly community news program, including the return of the midweek music and market series and new language-accessible health fairs.
The first midweek music and market of the season will take place Wednesday, July 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the east lot of Bloomington Civic Plaza. The weekly event will continue through August 27, according to the announcement.
The city will offer language-accessible healthy living fairs this summer, with the first targeting Spanish-speaking community members. The resource fair is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Oxboro Library. Attendees will learn about organics and recycling, home energy efficiency, and receive free health resources.
In business news, 9M Brewing, Bloomington's first brewery, has opened Creekide Kitchen after more than three years of operation. The new restaurant serves craft food to complement the brewery's craft beer offerings.
