The City of Bloomington launched a new immigration resource website this week to help residents navigate questions about immigration policies and available services, Mayor Tim Busse announced during his weekly Council Minute.

During Monday's council meeting, chairs from the Parks, Arts, and Recreation Commission and Human Rights Commission presented their 2025 work plans. PARC's plan focuses on enhancing park amenities, expanding recreational programming, and advancing public art, with particular attention to the future of Bloomington Center for the Arts including long-term maintenance and funding strategies. The Human Rights Commission's plan emphasizes creating greater community visibility, understanding resident experiences, and deepening community partnerships, building on 2024 successes that helped Bloomington achieve a 96 out of 100 score from a national organization ranking cities' LGBTQ+ community support.
Busse also recognized the Utilities Division for responding to an unusually high number of water main breaks this year.
