Currently communications are primarily emails from department
heads or police commanders regarding:
•Events with known, or expected, media interest
•Events associated with large police presences
•Murders and other events involving significant personal injuries
•Injuries and/or property damage from gunfire
•Fatalities from fire
•Structure fires

1. Staff will maintain a living item tracker
•Items that end up on this tracker include:
•Next steps from Study Session discussions
•Next steps from regular City Council meeting presentations or council consideration
items
2. The tracker will live in the weekly update and be updated every
## Friday after City Council meetings
3. Individual Council Members can bring forth items for discussion
from that tracker during Study Session
4. Consensus from City Council would be required for staff to act on
that item
