CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center City Council/Financial Commission Joint Work Session was called to order by Mayor Graves at 5:00 p.m. ## 2. INTRODUCTIONS Mayor April Graves and Councilmembers Kris Lawrence-Anderson, Dan Jerzak, Teneshia Kragness, Laurie-Ann Moore. Chair Joylenna Garcia and Commissioners Janice Brandt, Gretchen Enger, Jeff Lewis were present. Also present were City Manager Reggie Edwards, Director of Fiscal & Support Services Angela Holm, Director of Public Works Elizabeth Heyman, City Engineer Lydia Ener, Public Works Planner Kory Anderson Wagner, Deputy City Manager Daren Nyquist, and Interim City Clerk Shannon Pettit. ## 3. 2024 AUDIT PRESENTATION City Manager Reggie Edwards introduced Tom Olinger, CPA, to present the 2024 Financial Audit, and Finance Director Angela Holm would answer any follow-up questions. Ms. Holm stated that Mr. Olinger would be able to provide more insight into the audit and things Brooklyn Center could do moving forward. Mr. Olinger stated he appreciates the invitation to speak at the meeting and will answer questions on the audit report and the results, discuss the General Fund, other governmental funds, Special Revenue, Debt Services, Capital Project funds, and the Enterprise funds. Mr. Olinger will discuss key performance indicators and comparisons between Hennepin County and Brooklyn Center's peer group. Mr. Olinger stated that the OSA has not yet had the 2023 comparative numbers, but he has had some insight and context moving forward, too.
