the [5:55] Minnesota Schoolboard Association [6:00] it is an honor that you are elected to [6:02] guide the education of our community's [6:05] students as you recite the oath of [6:07] office you assume a tremendous [6:09] responsibility as a director of our [6:11] school district with the duties [6:13] empowered by the Minnesota Legislature [6:16] this power puts you and the other [6:17] members of our school board in the [6:19] position of both being morally and [6:22] legally responsible for Equitable [6:25] quality education of every student in [6:27] our district in carrying out this [6:29] responsibility you will be asked to [6:31] fulfill the roles of vision structure [6:34] accountability and advocacy in providing [6:37] Vision the board with participation of [6:40] the community envisions the community's [6:42] educational future and then formulates [6:45] the goals defines the outcomes and sets [6:48] the course for the public schools to [6:51] achieve the vision the board establishes [6:53] a structure and creates an environment [6:55] designed to ensure all students the [6:58] opportunity to attain their maximum [7:00] potential through a sound organizational [7:03] framework because as a board we must be [7:06] accountable to the community we must [7:08] ensure a continuous assessment of [7:10] student achievement and all conditions [7:13] affecting the education of our [7:15] children as board members we serve as [7:18] education's key Advocate on behalf of [7:21] students and our community schools to [7:24] advance the vision for our [7:26] schools furthermore we must strive to [7:28] work together with the superintendent [7:30] and staff to lead the district forward [7:33] fulfilling our mission which is to [7:35] inspire and prepare each and every [7:37] scholar with the confidence courage and [7:40] competence to achieve their dreams [7:42] contribute to community and engage in a [7:44] lifetime of [7:45] learning okay so having s um so uh ra [7:50] I'd like you to raise your right hands [7:52] and prepare to recite the oath in [7:54] unison um okay I'll start you off having [7:57] signed [8:21] congratulations new mission here in this district and what [11:18] we're here to do as a [11:19] board thank you um I accept the [11:22] nomination um it's been a honor and a [11:25] privilege to serve in the different [11:27] roles um in this district and um I look [11:30] forward to continuing to collaborate and [11:32] ensure all board member voices are heard [11:35] and that we continue to make decisions [11:36]
