And Dr. Stalo here. Righty. Thank you. We have a quorum. We are ready to go. First item on our agenda is approval of the business meeting agenda. Do I have a motion to approve? So moved. And actually, it's a pretty exciting agenda because the next thing on our agenda is to swear in our newest board member, Dr. Kenneth Wong. Welcome. Thank you. Okay, first off, hear that. First off, Dr. Muto will publicly affirm his commitment to the oath of office by reciting the oath of the actual oath of office. I, Kenneet Wano, affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United States and of this state and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of school board director of the Robbinsdale Area Schools, Independent School District 281, to the best of my judgment and ability. But I can but there's more. Wait. um in order to follow state statute, uh Dr. WHO needs to state any conflicts of interest that he might have and uh and declare them before us. Yes. I wish to declare that my wife works in a district and as a teacher. So I shall not be voting on any teacher contracts. Now would you like to shave? Sure. board chair Dr. events, pretending, fellow board members, students, staff, community members across the seven cities. I would like to express my heart I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the privilege and honor in joining the school board. I am deeply committed to serving and I come ready to engage and collaborate. I bring with me the lens of my lived experiences as a parent, a father, an immigrant, a spouse of a district employee, but most importantly, a proud member of this community. Guided by evidence and data, grounded in self-awareness of my own biases, I aim to contribute meaningfully as we collectively refocus our district on a shared goal, ensuring that every student is empowered to learn in the ways that honor their individuality. Together, we are building a future, a community that reflects the values that we all cherish. As Davis Campbell and his colleagues emphasized in their book, The Governing Corps, I believe that my addition to the board marks the beginning of a new chapter, one that energizes our collective work and strengthens our strategic and systemic efforts. Let us remain focused on the essential matters that move our district forward.
