Director Prince I Director Dawson I director Mitchell I six I and zero nay thank you our next standing agenda agenda item is recognitions we have no recognitions this evening but before we proceed with our agenda I want to take a moment to acknowledge the tragedy that has shaken our community and state as you're aware about a week and a half ago our community was struck by a horrific act of violence that claimed the lives of Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark who were deeply rooted in Brooklyn Park. In the same incident, Senator John Hoffman and his wife Evette, a Fern Brook Elementary School staff member was seriously injured. Our hearts go out to Hortman and Hoff to the Hortman and Hoffman families. No one should have to endure the pain you're going through right now. Our deepest condolences are with you. Both Representative Hortman and Senator Hoffman have served our school community for many years. In Ocio Schools, we're committed to fostering environments of safety, respect, and civil discourse and condemn any act of violence that undermines these fundamental values. Please lean on one another in the days and weeks ahead and seek support if you or a friend needs it. And of course, continue to keep the Hortman and Hoffman families in your thoughts as well as our school district community as we navigate these extremely difficult times.…
