I am the um Armstrong [0:22] orchestra director and we are so pleased [0:24] to be joined by eighth graders from [0:27] Plymouth and Sandberg and their director [0:29] Miss Shellar. So they will start off our [0:31] program and then we'll transition to the [0:33] three high school orchestras. The first piece that our eighth [1:01] graders is going to be performing is um [1:05] a little snippet from the London [1:09] Symphony by Heiden. And when I think [1:12] about the beginning, it feels like, you [1:15] know how London, it's kind of like [1:16] Seattle and it's rainy a lot. Um and she plays the cello and [24:26] she's just making waves and doing cool [24:28] stuff. And so we have a piece by Ley to [24:32] share with you. And we are joined by [24:34] colleagues and they are guests from the [24:35] symphonic band. And so we've got uh a lot of [54:58] things on the plate and then a lot of [54:59] these folks are members of the chamber [55:01] strings and then our concertino is [55:03] composed of groups from all three [55:05] orchestras. If you have a student in [55:07] those groups, hopefully you got the [55:08] information from me or from them. But [55:10] we've got a very busy uh couple of weeks [55:12] as we move toward the winter break as we [55:15] get to do some uh performing in the [55:17] community including in our elementary [55:19] schools which is always just a real [55:20] privilege. Uh just a couple of [55:22] housekeeping things. We have, if you [55:24] ordered butter braids, they will be here [55:26] next Wednesday. There is very good news [55:28] about butter braids, which is a frozen [55:30] food item. Uh they can be stored safely [55:33] outside for the next, it seems like 6 [55:34] months or so. So, um that's a good thing [55:37] uh storage-wise. Maybe not your very [55:39] favorite um thing for other reasons, but [55:42] anyway, they are will be here next [55:44] Wednesday. Um they'll be available for [55:46] pickup after school. And then if you're [55:47] part of the uh chamber strings and jazz [55:49] band concert that evening and concertino [55:52] um they would be available for pickup [55:54] then as well. And if you are coming [55:56] picking up after school uh you know who [55:58] you are it's along the north side of the [56:00] building after the buses have left you [56:01] can pull right up to door 39 and we'll [56:03] be watching for you. Um there's some [56:06] acknowledgements. I'll just point you to [56:08] your program. I'll also point out in the [56:09] program that there is an entire cello [56:12] and bass section that is here in the [56:14] orchestra and they didn't they aren't in [56:16] your program. Uh I know they were in the [56:18] program when the program left and went [56:20] into cyerspace and headed over to the [56:21] print shop and they came back not there.
