[0:00] Healthy food fuels healthy minds.
[0:03] Here in our school district, all students
[0:05] kindergarten through grade 12 will receive
[0:07] breakfast and lunch on
school days at no cost.
[0:13] This applies to all
students in our district.
[0:17] This includes a healthy meal for breakfast
[0:20] and a complete meal for lunch,
[0:22] including a fruit and vegetable.
[0:24] We always strive to serve our
students the healthiest foods
[0:27] with appropriate portion sizes.
[0:29] If a student wants something
extra, like another entree
[0:32] or a bottle of water, they'll
need to pay for those items
[0:35] or have money in their meal counts.
[0:39] We encourage all families
who have applied for free
[0:42] and reduced price meals
to continue to apply.
[0:47] Submitting an application
helps benefit families
[0:50] with much more than just meals.
[0:55] Your approved application
also provides the school
[0:58] with crucial funds that support
the learning environment
[1:01] and improve the overall
educational experience.
[1:05] Income thresholds are higher
than some assistance programs,
[1:08] so you may be surprised
to find out you qualify.
[1:12] To apply, complete the application
[1:14] for educational benefits
[1:15] using this website address or QR code.
[1:18] You can also complete the application
[1:20] for educational benefits
[1:22] that is available at the district office
[1:24] or your child's school.
[1:26] A new application must
be submitted each year.
[1:29] All families are strongly encouraged
[1:31] to complete an application
for their household.
[1:34] For more information, please
visit our district website.
