[0:00] [Music] [0:05] I'm Rusty Ray here in Crystal and we're [0:07] really in the heart of summer now and [0:09] that means it's time for Crystal [0:11] Frolics. I'm joined now by Deb Wright. [0:13] Deb, good to see you again. Oh, it's [0:14] good seeing you again this year. We're [0:16] so looking forward to having days like [0:19] this for the Frolics hopefully. So, it's [0:22] going to be another busy time. A lot of [0:23] things that people come to look forward [0:25] to with the Frolics, right? A lot of [0:27] games or activities. What kinds of [0:28] things can we expect? Okay, so we have [0:32] kickball going on on Thursday night, [0:34] which this is July 24th through the 27th [0:37] on the main field. St. Raphael is [0:40] sponsoring the kickball and that's free [0:42] to all the community parents and kids [0:45] that can be the parents can play too. So [0:48] bring your children over on Thursday um [0:51] for that activity. And we're also having [0:55] volleyball that night here at the park. [0:57] We will have the food vendors. Cooper [1:00] football and the Boy Scouts are here [1:02] serving food, your food choices. And [1:06] then on Friday, we will also be here at [1:09] the park and we'll have softball, [1:12] volleyball, we'll have the food vendors, [1:14] we'll have bingo is going to be here [1:16] again this year. And then on Saturday, [1:19] the big activity at Becker Park is we [1:23] have the city of Crystal is sponsoring [1:26] the inflatables, right? So that is a [1:29] free activity this year for all the kids [1:31] in the community. Bring your children [1:33] over to come and play on the inflatables [1:37] and [1:38] have a good time and meet your local [1:40] community. We're also having the music [1:44] all day that day. We're having pickle [1:46] ball um at Becker Park and then the [1:49] marketplace and the business vendors are [1:51] going to be there. Also, we're going to [1:53] have the petting zoo with the llama, [1:55] walk with the llama and the petting zoo. [1:58] And so that's what's going on at Becker [2:00] Park on Saturday. [2:02] On Saturday here at Welcome Park, we're [2:05] going to have the softball going, right? [2:07] Volleyball will be going. We will also [2:09] have our food vendors and West Metro is [2:12] going to be here and also bingo. It'll [2:14] all be happening. It'll be Oh, yeah. And [2:16] then on Sunday here at Welcome Park, [2:18] we'll be doing the playdown of the [2:21] softball as to all the tournament [2:25] winners to get to the final one. So, we [2:28] will have volleyball and also we'll have [2:31] the food vendors at West Metro and Bingo [2:34] here. And again, the the element of [2:36] being able to donate to uh support local [2:38] food shelves and things like that. [2:40] There's a component that's a little bit [2:41] different this year. Yes. Um, as far as [2:44] the donations for the near and pres [2:47] prism, we have um we'll be putting signs [2:51] up and also on our website, you'll see a [2:54] sign like this but in color. And you're [2:56] welcome to scan that with your cell [2:59] phone and make a money donation cuz [3:03] we're finding that it's much easier for [3:05] people to do that than try to carry cans [3:08] of food or boxes of food several blocks [3:10] to be here. Fireworks is only going to [3:13] be on Saturday night and it should be [3:15] somewhere between 9:45 to 10 o'clock [3:18] that we'll be having fireworks going off [3:20] and so everybody in the neighborhood and [3:23] the community can see that.
