tonight co-chair Casey desan and director Dr Michelle [5:38] langenfeld thank you for joining us tonight schools thank [5:49] you schools have a tradition of recognizing athletic and artistic success along with high achievement by [5:56] students and staff across the district over time time the school board began having conversations on ways to [6:03] celebrate additional our presenters will share more in detail about we know that gathering this data [6:09] and organizing these recognition events are timec consuming and sometimes difficult but as a board we are very [6:17] grateful for participation by students and all of you their families and friends and the result of these [6:24] efforts working with the district administrators to study academic data [6:29] the School Board is using this platform to honor the determination of our students and what [6:36] their significant a academic growth has meant over the course of the Year [6:42] students here tonight have demonstrated the highest level of growth in so thank [6:48] you for coming thank you for coming in out of the cold and for supporting your [6:53] student our format for tonight's award presentation features schools from the Blaine and Rapids feeder areas we [7:02] will recognize students by school elementary Eisenhower Elementary Hamilton Elementary Hoover Elementary [7:10] Jefferson Elementary Johnsville Elementary then Madison Elementary [7:16] McKinley Elementary Mississippi Elementary Morris SP elementaries a lot [7:22] of M in this list Sand Creek Elementary sunrise and then University Avenue [7:29] Elementary and then we will continue with our Middle Schools starting with Rapids Middle School Northdale [7:34] Middle School and then Roosevelt Middle School to complete our ceremony so parents and Guardians and Friends of our [7:43] students the ceremony will likely last under 45 minutes and we ask that your um [7:49] you for your patience during the event to keep talking to a minimum if we can we really want to be able to hear all [7:55] the names of our students and uh be able to read them so they can be recognized when the event is over we [8:03] will ask you to meet your student in the Commons area near where your school [8:08] assembled prior to the ceremony thank you so to begin let's welcome Dr Mary [8:14] Wolverton associate superintendent of elementary schools to get us [8:27] started thank you superintendent McIntyre this evening students have been [8:32] invited to be recognized by the inoka henpen school board for their academic [8:38] growth the district identified students who made significant growth over the [8:45] 2023 24 school year in the areas of math reading and language [8:52] acquisition students demonstrating go growth within the top five percentile at [8:59] each grade level districtwide were identified of these identified students [9:06] those with the highest growth at each School are being invited for Schoolboard [9:12] recognition tonight we will recognize students by school the principal of the [9:18] school will read the student names the student will come forward and receive an [9:24] academic medal award from the school board member and then all students will [9:29] assemble for a group photo over here after all names have been called please [9:36] limit your applause until all students from each school have been named and [9:42] recognized we want to make sure everyone can hear the names of the students as [9:47] they are read and recognize for their accomplishments next I would like to [9:53]
