Finally gonna say thank you to my parents for the support.

I am personally nerve wracked, yet excited for the possibilities for the future 'cause I've been waiting for this day for a long time.

This is an experience that everyone looks forward to, so the excitement is very high, full of anxiety and I'm glad to be here today.

We've grown, adapted, and we've proven that we're not just ready for change. We welcome it.

I was originally supposed to graduate in 2018. Fought to get to where I am today.

My cousins, they made sure I got my work done and like pushed me to finish.

I'm a first generation high school graduate, so I'm up here making my parents proud.

They pushed me through, they motivated me through everything. Even when it got really hard, they still motivated me and they were my rock throughout everything.

I've been through a very rough patch in my life. So for me to finally get this diploma, you know, I'm gonna act a little out.

I've achieved something that I always wanted to achieve.

If you have a goal, achieve it. If you have a dream, achieve it.

My ultimate goal is to do research and chemistry to at least help one person, be it save their lives, or just make their lives even. Just a little bit more convenient.

I will be, be a pre-med student majoring in biology, and I plan to become a surgeon.

I'm looking to go into the recovery field of talking to addicts and letting them know that there is a way out and that we're all worth something and might as well find it.

Always remember that your voice matters, your story matters. I wish for you unwavering confidence and relentless courage to trust yourself and to listen to your voice as you use it to make the world a better place.

Each student has walked their own unique road and that road that's forward is also unique and I, I want them to be confident and competent and joyful in what they do and recognize that they can do anything they set their mind to as long as they trust themselves and have a lot of amazing people around them to support them.
