and educate all learners

[0:19] to develop their unique potential

[0:21] and to positively contribute

to their community.

[0:24] I'm excited to share an ambitious

[0:26] and transformative undertaking

[0:28] that will shape the

future of our district.

[0:30] Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030.

[0:34] This is more than a plan.

[0:35] It's a collective effort to

co-create with our community

[0:38] as we envision a brighter,

more inclusive future

[0:41] for our students, families and staff.

[0:44] At the heart of Reimagine

Rdale is the Vision team,

[0:47] a group of 46 individuals

[0:49] who represent the rich

diversity of our students

[0:52] and the geography of our district.

[0:53] This team will be working diligently

[0:56] over the next eight months

[0:57] to analyze every aspect of our district,

[1:00] from academic visioning to finances

[1:02] and enrollment to facilities

[1:03] while incorporating input

and ideas from our community.

[1:07] Their work will culminate

[1:09] in a set of thoughtful,

actionable recommendations

[1:12] that they will present to our school board

[1:14] at the end of this

process early next fall.

[1:17] To inform this work,

[1:19] we launched two foundational efforts,

[1:21] a comprehensive survey,

[1:23] and an extensive community

engagement campaign.

[1:27] The survey conducted in

January and February of 2025

[1:31] has been a critical tool

for gathering feedback

[1:33] from thousands of voices in our community.

[1:36] We ask questions designed to

spark meaningful dialogue,

[1:40] focusing on the values, needs,

[1:41] and hopes that y'all

have for our district.

[1:44] Your responses painted a detailed picture

[1:46] of what matters most to our

students, families and staff,

[1:50] and where we have opportunities to grow.

[1:54] Community engagement is

[1:55] and continues to be an equally

vital part of this process.

[1:59] Through April, we are hosting forums,

[2:01] listening sessions, and events

[2:03] where we connect directly with you.

[2:05] These conversations go beyond the numbers,

[2:08] allowing us to hear your stories,

[2:10] understand your challenges,

[2:11] and dream with you about the

possibilities for our students

[2:15] and for Robbinsdale Area Schools.

[2:18] The insights gathered from these efforts

[2:20] are shaping our path forward.

[2:23] The Vision team is using these findings

[2:25] as a foundation to explore

innovative solutions,

[2:28] align our resources with our values,

[2:30] and ensure we're providing

what our students want,

[2:33] need and deserve.

[2:35] Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030

[2:37] is about more than shaping our schools.

[2:40] It's about shaping lives.

[2:41] It's about providing

equitable opportunities,

[2:44] fostering innovation,

[2:45] and creating an environment

where every learner can thrive.

[2:49] It's also about promoting

[2:51] and supporting healthy,

vibrant communities.

[2:55] Strong schools and strong

communities go hand in hand,

[2:58] and by reimagining how we meet

the needs of our students,

[3:01] we're also investing in the wellbeing

[3:03] and success of the neighborhoods we serve.

[3:06] Together, we are building

a brighter future for all.

[3:10] As we are engaged in this

long range Vision process,

[3:13] we are also working diligently

to seek short-term solutions

[3:17] for the significant financial challenges

[3:19] of reducing the budget by $21

million for fiscal year 26.

[3:24] We must make difficult decisions

[3:26] as we consider how best to

align our limited resources

[3:30] with the needs of our students

[3:31] and the values of our community.

[3:33] By addressing our

current budget challenges

[3:36] with creativity, boldness,

and intentionality,

[3:39] we can ensure that every decision

[3:41] not only supports our mission,

[3:42] but also creates new opportunities

[3:44] to better serve our

students and their needs.

[3:48] Together we will get through

the current reductions

[3:51] that we must make,

[3:52] and collectively build a future

[3:54] that reflects our shared

values and aspirations,

[3:57] one where every learner

has what they want, need,

[4:00] and deserve to succeed.

[4:02] This is our time to dream big

[4:04] and act boldly for today's students

[4:06] and four generations to come.
