I wanted to have some discussion about um the uh recommendation of people for the charter commission and there were some people that had talked with me and uh inquired as to whether or not there was a conflict of interest for the city council to make recommendations for the charter commission. seeing as the charter is kind of a checks and balances committee commission for that.

I mean, it looks like we have a big gap and for 27. So maybe those two get appointed to for a year and then then we allow them to obviously they're allowed to reapply and you know when they can serve a full four year but then we have a nice staggering of of the terms at that point.
So if if we could if we can get uh applicants to come in uh and we should work on that as soon as possible, but have their term end or like begin in 27. Now, if we if we have no business that we really need to attend to, maybe it can be delayed until October of 27 when they would when they would be applied applied rather and then that would keep all of us in that October except for for Jim's years in March.
You know former council members or members of the planning commission would be prime candidates. It's only one meeting a year usually. commitment and a former council member is an ideal candidate because of their familiar familiarity with city process, right?
Um it's just going to tell them basically um it's our duty to let them know that we met here and did our annual duty and um so that we'll go to the uh district court judge and then it just tells them that they it'll take them we're going to provide like a link or whatever so that they can see this uh meeting for themselves online and we can provide that stuff.
