and to the Republic for which stands one nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all excellent thank you and we will go on to agenda approval and we have an update yes thank you so included in your packet is currently the liaison calendar that is no more um the requirement to attend Council meetings no longer is there the expectation isn't there um Council will still come back and attend the parks and trails commission meeting um but Council updates will be included as part of the parks recreation and trails update under reports and information as well as included through Nichols questions feelings I was on that call and that was a was a healthy debate so I mean it was they they did go through a lot of different scenarios and landed I think seems like the right one I I do hope uh that folks recognize that their desire to change up as an expectation is actually out of consideration of the burden that it lays on Commissioners uh so that that's what started the debate uh is you know acknowledging that it is a great training opportunity for those particularly who are new do it's a great way to stay informed and putting that as a a burden of responsibility seemed unreasonable and unfair in people's business busy lives and so out of consideration that that's what drove that decision there was consideration of not having council members any longer attend and and to uh commissioner Schmidt's uh point it it was a healthy debate what's what's what's going to be in the best interest of the community and and that's that's where they landed also if you do think differently I'd encourage you to reach out and say something uh there was uh in fact I think you even stepped in and communicated uh there there was a desire to get healthy and helpful feedback uh to serve the best interest of everybody involved it is helpful in like the packets like today where we speak to where key information will be discussed at city council I mean we can see the agendas but when we talk about the proposals that'll go in front of them they might be key to some of our work that's helpful for me at least to understand which of these Council meetings are going to come with like key pieces we need to have Fe some feedback for directly potentially yeah just add that when I first started on the Parks Commission I watched almost everyone online so people do watch them and that helped a lot and bring it up to speed but I can see the need for not making people so I think it's a good change and you're still more than welcome to attend no one's taking out that's what I saying it's always helpful to know maybe some key items that are upcoming so we can make sure we do have someone there that's all right any other comments on the agenda why someone want to make a motion to approve so moved and I will second that all those in favor say I I I and it passes all right meeting minutes from the June 20th meeting any issues I believe there was one correction yes there's one correction that I can note uh under agenda approval it says motion made by Anderson second in by Val maybe changing that to commission NBO other than that if there's any others that anyone noticed
