The kids' names are this, this, and this." and we just keep track of it that way so we can kind of increase the social media aspect and get people to know more about the community I think would be cool. >> Great ideas. The council approved that. Um, so they're going to be working on this. Uh, the big push at the moment is to set a design for the the stage cover. Um, we've been looking at a couple of different companies. Um, and there's different things to consider here. It's timelines. um for building the things and cost obviously um and how it's going to fit over the stage area. Um so Polygon had a couple of different designs. Um I think initially we were looking at something like the WBA on this shot. Um and they do do something similar in the WWA type uh uh shelter there. I did get them to quote on both. Um and there's a significant difference in in the in the costs. Um >> this one being more below the W >> the bottom bottom one's more money. >> Considerably more money. >> Yeah. And so there's a lot of, you know, the two major things I need to get out of the council at the next council meeting is what we want to do for a size because there was uh some discussion about having it overhang the stage and then I met with Scott and uh overhang the dance floor and I met with Scott and there was some discussion about maybe shortening that up because it doesn't really serve a purpose over the dance floor. Um, it's whether or not there originally we talked in at council level about having an extension going out in front of this stage over the stage to block some because it does face to the south. Now, that particular unit, the uh polygon uh the bottom one that you seen, >> this one, this one here is like 260,000 bucks. If we took these footings and put them at the back on both sides in the back corner here and the back corner of the back of the stage and we wouldn't have to bust anything out and it it fits in very I mean it would work. If this hangs out, if this just say that this is the dance floor here and this thing's 34 ft deep, the dance floor itself, if you have that acoustic or the the roof over it, that might hold a lot of sound. So, if you're on the floor, you might get blasted, >> right? So, both um like where the Seahawks play in Seattle, it's the loudest stadium in the NFL. And the reason why is because they have that. So, if you ever look at the sides of that stadium, also odds and field where the Ducks play, same thing. So the sound goes up and then comes back down on the field. >> And so just thinking about not just our our patrons but musicians and stuff as well that are all there. >> If you have it where it goes up and could come back down, it could create some >> I think the music the amplification is going to be pointed flat out. I think I you know the council uh will be seeing this next week and I'm looking for them to give me a bit more guidance. I want to try and get this or uh ordered. Um there's some significant times to get engineered drawings. um you know 6 to 12 weeks for that and then 20 plus weeks for uh construction and then delivery after that. Um but then if we're doing retaining walls and stuff like that, it might be a bit of a mess. >> I mean once we get um NSA get some survey work done out there and we got to figure out permitting as well for there. um because it's down by the river and it's a special site on the Mississippi. So, there's a few bits and pieces going there, but if at all possible, we could piece meal this thing together and put the concrete in ahead of time. Um the other consideration is the pilings for the supports on here significant going to be probably around 5 ft round and 6 ft deep. >> Sure. >> So, we got to get some soil borings and stuff done down there for that. But um the idea is to try and keep this moving along, at least get this ordered up as soon as possible so we can get delivery and you know the the schedule that we've been given by MSA and and um is based around not doing anything while the power shows happening. >> Gotcha. >> There was no disruption there. >> And they start the fifth. >> Okay, cool. Yep. >> All right, moving right along. All right, item E, snowmobile trail connections. >> So, this is more of a discussion point. I put a copy of the uh trail maps that are out there. There's been some discussion um about whether we want to keep uh snowmobile trails in the city or if we want corridors for them, if we can preserve corridors. And there's some discussion about whether we can link day and into Sega with a snowmobile trail. Um so this is you know basically I'm asking you guys to start thinking about you know what we want to do about this um and have it as a um a discussion item on a later uh council meeting uh commission meeting. I would um try to get the people um from the snowmobile uh people, the Northwest Trails people to come in and do a presentation. >> Okay. >> Um I know there's a few residents in Dayton who really want to keep the snowmobile trails. Um but it's it's where we put them and we would have to preserve those corridors um for when builders come in and say, "Hey, so we got something that says, "Hey, this is, you know, meant to be a snowmobile corridor. Build your buildings around that, whatever." So, we got some kind of a a plan in place ahead of time. >> Sure. >> I know a few of my neighbors used this uh our last nice snowfall and they were talking about how nice it was. They were able to hop on and go meet people at this bar or this restaurant or whatnot. So, >> I know that's a >> Yeah, I think that >> good point. I guess >> I think keep them and make sure that we do get the um areas defined for it um for the fact that the last meeting I know we talked about some of the new developments and some of that area is not actually set up for snowmobile trails and I don't want people to lose you know part of what people like about Minnesota in the winter is being able to enjoy the outdoors and one of them is riding snowmobile. Um, so I think we should probably act on this sooner than later to get this uh, you know, firm. >> Yeah. I think if we're continuing to market ourselves as a town that is all about the outdoors and everything that keeping them, but being more clear about them is isn't a good move. >> What are the costs? >> Sorry. >> What are the costs associated with doing this? >> I have no idea at this stage. >> Nothing to us, right? I I don't >> other than land sale possibly getting agreements and stuff. Um and we'll get right away through developments and stuff like that >> because essentially right now all of our trails like they're not actually groom trails. The majority are just groom trails that that actual Okay, but we don't know what our cost is on that or what. >> Well, the Northwest Trails, they come out and they groom it all. >> They do it all. >> So there's no out of pocket to the city today. So the question was sell their land to a builder, right? The city would have to say, well, you got to keep this area for snowmobiles only. >> And that's why we would like to identify those corridors. So when somebody comes in and we could say on the map or the comp plan, you know, this is designated as a snowmobile trail or whatever. >> I mean, if there's no cost associated, I don't see any reason why. As far as I would, as far as I can see, >> I think once there's a cost, then we have to start weighing on it, you know, but like if there's no cost, I think everybody says green light. >> I mean, certainly as long as the parkers are allowing snow wheels through there, you're going to want to keep those lanes correct >> as long as you can.
