People ask me what's the most important election and I always say the next one, right? That's what we're always thinking of is what's coming up next.
It takes a lot of work to make it look this easy, I think, is sort of the key. People walk into the polling place and they think, 'Oh, everyone's just in place and that's how it goes.' But there's a lot of work that goes into that.
Steve Simon, Secretary Simon is big on this. We hold on to all of our ballots. So the ballots that are being voted now for this election, for the general election in 2026, we have to hold on to all those at city center for 22 months.
Yeah, and it's a long day for everyone because uh polling or polling places open at 7:00. Voting starts at 7:00, but then our judges have to get to the sites at 6:00 and then we are here at city center at 5:15 or something because people will start calling with issues.

Cities that are accustomed to just having their every other year schedule like we do would then have to put the election on. We can handle it. I think we're prepared for that. But there are some cities that, you know, just sort of have a a skeleton crew a lot of the time. And so convincing people to do that and fund that will be tricky.
