[0:03] In Eden [music] Prairie Schools,
[0:05] students discover their interests,
[0:07] explore their opportunities, and pursue
[0:09] their passions. That starts right away
[0:11] in our early childhood programming and
[0:14] continues all the way through graduation
[0:16] and [music] beyond. We're preparing
[0:18] students for jobs that might not even
[0:20] exist yet, which means reimagining
[0:22] education and innovating to give our
[0:24] [music] students every opportunity they
[0:26] need to succeed. Building on the
[0:29] celebration of our district's 100th
[0:31] anniversary, we spent the 2024 to 2025
[0:35] school year gathering ideas and feedback
[0:37] from more than 2,500 members of our
[0:40] community, including students, staff,
[0:42] and families. They told us about the
[0:45] experiences they want students to have
[0:47] in the year 2035. After analyzing this
[0:50] data, a design team of teachers, school
[0:53] leaders, students, staff, and parents
[0:55] identified a student centered
[0:57] communitydriven vision, flight plan
[0:59] 2035.
[1:01] That vision prioritizes four focus
[1:04] areas. Student well-being, inspired
[1:07] learning, transferable future ready
[1:09] skills, and real world application.
[1:12] These four focus areas [music] will be
[1:13] present in each of the programs and
[1:15] experiences created as part of flight
[1:18] plan 2035, leading to students who are
[1:20] adaptable, resilient, and engaged, who
[1:23] enjoy a lifelong love of learning
[1:25] through discovery, exploration, and
[1:27] pursuit, who develop broad skills to
[1:30] thrive in their careers and life, and
[1:32] who apply those skills in the real
[1:34] world. With this vision in mind as the
[1:36] final destination, the design team
[1:38] developed a representative future
[1:40] focused blueprint for how to create
[1:42] programs and experiences for students.
[1:44] These blueprint designs lay out the
[1:46] multiple [music] paths we should take on
[1:48] our journey to 2035.
[1:51] Whole person development centers
[1:52] students well-being, character, and
[1:55] confidence. Schools in partnership with
[1:57] families become places where
[1:59] self-awareness, resilience, and purpose
[2:02] grow alongside academics.
[2:04] Adaptive and individualized learning
[2:06] means shifting from a one-sizefits-all
[2:09] model to a responsive ecosystem where
[2:11] students co-design their inspired
[2:13] journey. They progress at their own pace
[2:16] and engage in meaningful personalized
[2:18] experiences that reflect their
[2:20] interests, strengths, and aspirations.
[2:23] Seamless life and learning connections
[2:24] [music]
[2:25] intentionally link education to students
[2:27] lives, communities, and futures through
[2:29] real world experiences like career and
[2:31] technical education, industry aligned
[2:34] pathways, and workforce partnerships
[2:35] [music] that make learning relevant and
[2:37] impactful.
[2:39] Purposeful and mindful technology use
[2:41] programs that integrate technology with
[2:43] intention, enhancing learning,
[2:45] personalization, and innovation while
[2:48] promoting balance, responsibility, and
[2:50] digital well-being.
[2:52] Integrated outside time [music] programs
[2:54] that incorporate outdoor time into
[2:56] learning, wellness, and community
[2:58] building, making outdoor time a key part
[3:01] [music] of each student's inspired
[3:03] journey. And finally, innovative indoor
[3:06] and outdoor [music] facilities
[3:08] environments that adapt to the needs of
[3:10] students, supporting flexible,
[3:11] personalized, and future ready learning.
[3:14] The district will design spaces that
[3:15] blur the lines between classroom and
[3:17] real world, [music] between schools and
[3:20] communities, and between indoors and
[3:22] out. To make all of this a reality,
[3:25] between 2025 and 2035, Eden Prairie
[3:28] Schools will identify the specific
[3:30] programs to develop, implement those
[3:32] programs with clear action steps and
[3:34] timelines, and innovate to increase
[3:36] efficiency and impact. Ultimately, this
[3:40] community-designed vision will help our
[3:42] Eagles fly higher and further [music]
[3:44] into their futures, no matter where
[3:46] their paths might take them. Like any
[3:48] great [music] flight, the strength of
[3:49] the journey depends on teamwork. We all
[3:52] have a role to play.
