[0:03] [Music] [0:06] We cater to such a wide range of [0:09] students and what they're looking for [0:10] that I think we're uh a nice catchall [0:14] and we're a nice middle of the road. [0:16] Whatever you need, we can provide in our [0:20] in our curriculum and how our program is [0:22] structured. The advantages of being with [0:24] Eden Prairie online is students learn to [0:27] be independent thinkers. They take [0:30] charge of their own education. So it's [0:33] more student centered than teacher [0:36] centered. As far as benefits are [0:38] concerned, students learn to communicate [0:40] more and finally they come out to be [0:44] more confident. Kids are kind of able to [0:47] relax and be themselves a little bit. [0:48] They aren't worried about those social [0:50] anxieties. Online educational programs, [0:54] students can access the court from [0:56] anywhere as long as they have internet [0:57] access and they have a different pace [1:01] compared to other students compared to [1:03] in the classroom. In person, you have to [1:05] move along the curriculum. So, I think [1:07] the online course does offer all those [1:10] things that an inerson classroom cannot [1:13] offer. I remember working with this uh [1:16] one of our students. We were trying to [1:17] work with her on again finishing up [1:20] those college applications, uh, writing [1:22] letters of recommendation. Like the the [1:24] happy ending is we got her there. She [1:26] got a walk. She got her diploma, which [1:28] is again always so exciting. And, you [1:30] know, I love to see them succeed, but [1:33] hate to see them go. You're having [1:34] students coming from such wide varieties [1:37] of family dynamics and cultural dynamics [1:40] who are all coming together to share [1:42] those experiences. [1:44] I think school is meant to be a place [1:47] where we get to share who we are and [1:49] that Eden Prairie online you're actually [1:51] seeing who these kids are. We give so [1:53] much opportunity for studentdriven [1:56] learning. Um and you would not believe [1:58] the connections that these kids find [2:00] being able to just talk and do the [2:03] things that they want to do with their [2:05] friends either in their same classroom [2:07] or across the grade level. One of the [2:09] reasons I feel that connection to a [2:12] student and a family more is I, you [2:14] know, in a lot of ways you're kind of [2:18] start feeling like part of the family. [2:19] You're in you're in the home. You're [2:22] part of that culture. You're hearing [2:24] about what events and things are taking [2:27] place for them. And because of that, I [2:29] see kids just really genuinely [2:33] comfortable talking about that. It's a [2:36] fresh start for a lot of kids, even [2:38] students who are starting first day of [2:40] school, beginning of the school year. [2:42] It's a new experience for them where [2:44] parents will realize their kid is is [2:47] even more than what they saw in them at [2:49] home. And so, I think seeing those [2:51] success stories and not even realizing [2:53] what huge successes they were is a lot [2:56] of the motivation behind what makes this [2:57] program so amazing.
