[0:00] [Music] [0:07] The support I've gotten from teachers [0:09] while I've been here and the pride that [0:12] they have put on me as a student to [0:14] continue to work hard and to try my best [0:17] has been inspiring. I come from a very [0:19] small town and academic opportunities [0:22] were very limited. So that's why one of [0:23] the reasons I was drawn to Eden Prairie [0:25] again from the major selection of course [0:28] work and AP and honors opportunities [0:32] that were not available to me in my [0:33] inerson school and that's why I continue [0:35] to stay on an online school. For me it [0:38] was my older sister who went to the [0:40] school and then I remember her sitting [0:42] next to me and seeing her going to Zoom [0:44] classes and I'm sitting over here with a [0:45] little laptop and I'm like doing all the [0:47] assignments by myself, no teacher. And I [0:49] remember telling my mom I want to do the [0:51] same thing she's doing. I want to be [0:52] able to have a teacher come sit in front [0:54] of me and teach me what's going on which [0:56] was very fun actually and I got to talk [0:58] and communicate with a lot of people and [1:00] I'm very thankful for that. [1:02] >> I was at a previous online school and I [1:04] felt like I wasn't learning anything. I [1:06] felt like everything was below what my [1:08] learning abilities were at. It was kind [1:09] of like well why am I doing this? So, I [1:12] was attracted to EPO because of the wide [1:15] availability, the AP, the honors, all of [1:18] that is what made me come to Eden [1:20] Prairie. And honestly, the [1:21] extracurriculars, um the clubs, student [1:24] council, national honor society, all of [1:26] which I'm a part of have made the stay [1:28] worth it. Student and teacher um [1:31] dedication and just um kind of their [1:34] love for the school um really makes me [1:38] love the school as well. student council [1:41] and our different extracurricular [1:43] options has really helped um with the [1:45] social aspect of it and in the education [1:48] aspect. They have a lot of variety of [1:50] different courses that you can take even [1:52] though it's online and I'm very proud to [1:54] be part of this community.
