[0:01] In 2024, we celebrated our 100th
[0:03] birthday as a school district. [music]
[0:05] We really reflected on that and said,
[0:07] "How can we celebrate all the amazing
[0:09] things that our alumni have
[0:11] accomplished?" And it seemed like there
[0:12] was no better way to do that than a hall
[0:14] of fame. Here in [music] Prairie
[0:16] Schools, we have such a tradition of
[0:17] excellence. We have so many amazing
[0:19] students that leave this [music] place
[0:21] and go on and do great things. In our
[0:23] hall of fame, we have Olympians and
[0:26] professional athletes. [music] We have
[0:28] authors. We have journalists, we have
[0:30] doctors, we have people that are
[0:32] contributing to the community in amazing
[0:33] ways, whether it's here in Eden Prairie
[0:36] or [music] beyond. It does great things
[0:38] for our community when people come back
[0:39] together, whether it's coming back to
[0:41] that game and being here, [music] being
[0:43] celebrated with current athletes who
[0:45] look up to that person or coming into a
[0:48] classroom to share their experiences
[0:49] [music]
[0:50] or the things that they've learned
[0:51] throughout their career. It really
[0:53] connects our students to what's possible
[0:55] [music] and that's been really fun to
[0:56] see through our Hall of Fame process.
[0:58] Often [music] those inductees are
[1:01] surprised that they're inducted. They're
[1:02] surprised that they're recognized for
[1:04] those things and then [music] they
[1:05] realize the impact that they have on
[1:08] those that come behind them. And so it
[1:10] really is about passing it on. It's
[1:12] incredibly inspiring to me as [music] we
[1:13] see those folks come back and give back
[1:16] in our community in ways that are really
[1:17] meaningful. You know, if you're looking
[1:19] for [music] a way to nominate somebody
[1:22] or you find somebody that has truly
[1:24] inspired you, please go to our website,
[1:26] call our office, submit that story.
[1:29] Often people are so humble they don't
[1:30] realize the impact they have. And
[1:32] [music] so when others notice and
[1:33] recognize that allows us to be able to
[1:35] amplify that and really [music] bring
[1:37] that back into our community so others
[1:39] can benefit from that as well.
