The Highway 100 ramps and bridge are scheduled to reopen in mid-November. However, the bridge crossing the railway is delayed until mid-summer next year due to a power line conflict involving Xcel Energy and the railroad. The city emphasized that these external agencies operate on their own permit schedules, which the city cannot control.
Notable Quotes (2)
The not so good news is the bridge that goes over the railway is not going to open in that time frame and this is due to the issue with an Excel power line within the railroad rightway.
So those two agencies are not controlled by the city of Edina. We were working with them to make sure they understood the construction schedule, but those permit processes and agreements just take time.
Ordinances & Resolutions (2)
Permit processes and utility agreements between Xcel Energy and the railroad that delayed bridge construction over the railway.
