I go to bed at night and I wake up thinking about the shots fired in Nancy Park, and it makes me angry, it makes me frustrated, it makes me disappointed that it happened in our town.

We have a pattern um graduation, carjacking off the front of our middle school, and now this. I'm not here to vilify a community, but we can't talk about this week. We're the Somali community and what are they going to do to take responsibility for their young people?
First of all, I didn't even know there was a meeting planned today until I was on the highway coming here 15 minutes ago. So, I wonder how many others in Edina's Somali American community members were even aware of a meeting existing this afternoon.
I can tell you that all of these Somali American leaders that were from across the metro are really concerned about this as well and want to make sure that we get this these issues addressed. So I think we're getting really effective assistance from leadership in the Somali American community.
