Special Recognitions and Presentations ## 5.1. 50th and France Art Grant Presentation Rebecca Sorenson, Executive Director of the 50th and France Business Association, presented on the Art Grant received for the Emerging Artist Booth at the Edina Art Fair. ## 5.2. Edina Asian American Alliance Art Grant Presentation Kelly Condit-Shrestha and Salaar Karimi presented about the Edina Art Grant received by the Edina Asian American Alliance for the AAPI festival held in May. ## 6. Community Comment 7. Reports/Recommendations 7.1. 2025/2026 Workplan Update ## Initiative 1.1.1: Art Center Colocation at Southdale Library Fulton reported ## Initiative 1.1.2: Edina Art Grant Program Fram reported that there are two art grant recipient events happening before the end of the summer. She also mentioned that art grant mentors will follow up with the grantees for end of event data collection. Initiative 1.1.3 Review Public Art Opportunities for New City Facilities and Locations Nothing to report. ## Initiative 1.1.4: Commission Participation in Community Events Byrd reported on the success of the 4th of July parade. The Commission discussed the Fall into the Arts Festival. ## 7.2. Discussion on 2027/2028 Arts and Culture Commission Work Plan Chair Zbaren led Commissioners in an exercise to brainstorm the 2027/2028 work plan.
