1. Call to Order
Chair Zbaren called the meeting to order at 4:34 p.m.

## 3. Approval of Meeting Agenda
Commissioner Curtin made a motion to approve the meeting agenda. Motion seconded by Commissioner
Westlund.

## 4. Approval of Meeting Minutes
Commissioner Fram made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Motion seconded by Commissioner
Scully.

## 7.1. ACC Workplan Updates
## 2026 Arts and Culture Workplan:
## Initiative 1.1.1: Art Center Colocation at Southdale Library
Fulton presented about the progress of the new art center and Hennepin County Library building.
Commissioners discussed community engagement.
## Initiative 1.1.2: Edina Art Grant Program
1) Fram presented the grant program details.
2) Pandya shared information about the AAPI Festival. The festival was very successful.
3) Picek Yannes met with Director Sorenson at the 50th and France Association to discuss the Edina Art Fair
and the Emerging Artists booth. There are ten Emerging Artists showing and selling this year. Picek-Yannes
also spoke with Sorenson about the concert series and student performers.
4) Fram reported on the Morningside Theater Company. The first performance kicks off on June 6. They will
host 5 performances outdoors at Nolan Mains.
Initiative 1.1.3 Review Public Art Opportunities for New City Facilities and Locations
No new information to report.
## Initiative 1.1.4: Commission Participation in Community Events
1) Byrd reported on event participation. The commission plans to participate at AAPI Festival, Juneteenth,
4th of July Parade and the Fall into the Arts Festival to promote art in Edina.
2) Scully led discussion on participation in the 4th of July Parade.
## Initiative 1.1.5: Utility Box Art Wrap Program
Fulton reported that the remaining two utility boxes are set to be wrapped this summer.
7.2. 2027/2028 Workplan Discussion
The commission began discussing the development of a work plan for 2027/2028.

Fulton announced that classes for summer session are beginning in June.
