1. Call to Order

Staff Present: Laura Fulton, Recreation Supervisor; Jen Faeth, Program Coordinator - Public Art
## 3. Approval of Meeting Agenda
Zbaren requested that the date of the AAPI Festival be changed in upcoming meetings and events to Saturday,
May 16. Jen Faeth was added to the agenda to discuss the new Public Art Storymap.
Commissioner Steinberg made a motion to approve the meeting agenda. Motion seconded by Commissioner
Scully.

Commissioner Fram made a motion to approve meeting minutes from Feb. 26, 2026. Motion seconded
by Commissioner Byrd.

## 5. Special Recognitions and Presentations
## 5.1. Public Art Map Presentation - Jen Faeth
Jen Faeth reported on the work done on the new Public Art Storymap. The commission discussed the map
and offered ideas.

## 7.1. Initiative 1.1.2 Edina Art Grant Program
Commissioner Fram reported on the review of applications for the 2026 Edina Art Grant period. Ten
applications were received. The initiative group recommends funding seven of the grant applications.
Fram gave an overview of the seven selected applicants.
The commission discussed the initiative group's recommendations.
Commissioner Steinberg made a motion to approve recommendation of grants to selected 2026 Edina
Art Grant recipients. Motion seconded by Commissioner Scully.

7.2. 2026 Workplan Updates
## Initiative 1.1.1: Art Center Colocation at Southdale Library
Fulton updated the commission on the progress of the construction of the new space.
## Initiative 1.1.2: Edina Art Grant Program
Commission discussed mentorship opportunities for the new art grant recipients.
Initiative 1.1.3 Review Public Art Opportunities for New City Facilities and Locations
Fulton reported that a new public art piece has been installed at Fire Station 2.
## Initiative 1.1.4: Commission Participation in Community Events
Commissioner Byrd reported that there are some exciting opportunities to participate in events. The
initiative group will be regrouping after this meeting.
## Initiative 1.1.5: Utility Box Art Wrap Program
Three of the five boxes were wrapped in 2025. The remaining boxes will be wrapped soon!
## 8. Chair and Member Comments
Chair Zbaren reported that the Edina Art Fair is coming up and that it would be great if all commissioners can
come!
Student Commissioner Buzar Barua discussed the Domestic Exchange Program through Edina High School and
requested contact information for MIA.

Fulton reported on upcoming events at the Edina Art Center.

Commissioner Pandya made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:52. Motion seconded by Commissioner
Scully.
