[0:00] I am a fire cadet. Been in EMS for 5 [0:03] years, fire service for just shy of one [0:05] year. [0:06] We're looking for great people who fit [0:09] with our values systems. That cadet [0:11] process is going to give us the most [0:14] valuable and utilizable pathway. [0:16] The resources here, the people that work [0:19] here, they truly want you to succeed and [0:21] they'll do anything and everything to [0:23] make sure that your tasks get completed. [0:26] Every single thing has been done to make [0:29] sure that I can become a firefighter [0:31] paramedic. [0:31] Because we run a fire medic service, we [0:34] have distinctly different jobs that [0:36] cross over on a regular basis. So there [0:38] are days that you need to spend focused [0:40] on your paramedic skills and working on [0:42] the ambulance, but very quickly you can [0:45] clear a hospital on that call and then [0:47] go into firefighting mode. [0:48] So it's been a long journey to get to [0:50] this point, but I can now officially [0:52] call myself a firefighter paramedic. [0:56] [Music]
