[0:00] I've always had an interest in law [0:02] enforcement. I had periodically seen the [0:04] email come out for Citizens Academy. [0:06] Citizens Academy, it's a 13-week program [0:09] that the police department puts on uh [0:11] every year. Uh the intention is to give [0:14] members of the community, whether you [0:15] live in Edina or you work in Edina, an [0:18] opportunity to come in and learn about [0:20] what your police department does uh on a [0:22] day-to-day basis. [0:23] Each week has a different topic and a [0:25] different theme. I'm waiting for a final [0:27] response here and I don't want to stop [0:30] moving cuz I don't want to cue him. [0:32] We have an opportunity at graduation to [0:35] be a part of an alumni group where it [0:37] extends the group's interest to [0:40] supporting the local law enforcement. A [0:43] lot of it comes down to volunteer [0:44] opportunities. I think it's wonderful [0:46] and it's something that if anyone has a [0:49] chance to sign up, highly worth it.
