The city council has approved a conditional use permit for Rivian, an electric vehicle manufacturer, to open a showroom dealership at Galleria Edina. The showroom would be located on the mall's northwest side between Kraton Barrel and Big Bowl with up to six Rivian vehicles available on site for test drives. Customers would be able to order a vehicle inside the store, but deliveries would be made directly to their homes. Rivian has similar showroom dealerships around the country.
