[0:02] We're here for another Vernon Avenue and
[0:04] Highway 100 interchange project update.
[0:07] The good news is the Highway 100 on and
[0:10] off ramps and the Highway 100 bridge
[0:13] will reopen very soon, mid November.
[0:16] Those ramps are going to reopen and
[0:18] that's really going to improve the
[0:19] access to the Grand View District and
[0:21] the 50th and France district. The not so
[0:24] good news is the bridge that goes over
[0:26] the railway is not going to open in that
[0:29] time frame and this is due to the issue
[0:32] with an Excel power line within the
[0:35] railroad rightway. So those two agencies
[0:37] are not controlled by the city of Edina.
[0:39] We were working with them to make sure
[0:42] they understood the construction
[0:43] schedule, but those permit processes and
[0:46] agreements just take time and that's
[0:47] what delayed the bridge over the
[0:49] railway.
[0:52] The contractor is going to work as long
[0:53] as they can this winter, as long as it
[0:55] allows for weather conditions, and then
[0:58] they will return in the spring, most
[1:00] likely in April, to finish that bridge
[1:02] and get that open as soon as possible
[1:04] next summer, most likely midsummer. We
[1:07] will continue to provide updates on
[1:09] those schedules as we get new
[1:11] information, but really the good news is
[1:13] look for those on andoff ramps of
[1:14] Highway 100 opening soon. And for more
[1:17] information, see better together.org
[1:19] ORG. And again, we want to thank
[1:21] everybody for their patience with this
[1:23] project.
