Starting March 16, work will begin to replace the South Rink floor and install dasher boards with significantly higher safety ratings. When the South Rink construction is done in mid-June, South will have higher quality ice, more reliable ice-making systems and a safer player environment. After that, the same work will begin in the East Rink. These infrastructure projects were moved up to help ensure that Braemar Arena has three rinks operational in the Fall when the winter sports season is nears that fever pitch.
