[0:08] we're getting close to snow season, even
[0:10] in uh climate warming conditions. And
[0:13] so, the winter parking rules are now in
[0:14] effect in Edina, and they help keep our
[0:16] streets clear and safe all season long.
[0:20] Snow removal is one of the services
[0:21] residents appreciate the most. And
[0:23] limiting street parking in the cold
[0:25] weather months allows the public works
[0:27] department to pre-treat, deise, and
[0:29] clear snow from streets more quickly,
[0:31] efficiently, and safely. So, from now
[0:33] through March 31st, remember, no parking
[0:36] on city streets overnight between 1 and
[0:39] 6:00 a.m., no matter the forecast. And
[0:42] when it snows 1 and a half inches or
[0:44] more, please keep cars off the street
[0:46] until it has been plowed to the curb. If
[0:48] a vehicle blocks a snowplow route,
[0:51] police will try to contact the owner,
[0:52] but if they can't, it may need to be
[0:54] towed. Parked cars can also create
