The facility includes pull-through apparatus bays for fire engines and ambulances, along with a large conference room and fire training room available for community rental. According to the presentation, the community spaces were designed to operate independently from fire department operations, allowing evening use without disrupting emergency services.

Public health services represent a significant addition to the station's offerings. Through Edina's contract with Bloomington Public Health, residents can access immunizations, WIC clinics, and breastfeeding education without traveling to Bloomington Civic Plaza. The station provides dedicated cubicle space for public health staff and can accommodate special clinics like flu shot events.

The station's residential quarters occupy the second floor, featuring a kitchen with a custom table crafted by the Public Works Department using wood from city parks. Individual dormitory rooms include separate storage areas to minimize disruption between shift changes. A 24-hour fitness facility is available to all city staff.

The five-story training tower serves dual purposes as an architectural landmark and training facility for the Special Operations Team's technical rescue operations. The tower includes a hose drying facility, addressing a previous operational need. Fire department officials emphasized the station's role in serving the growing residential and business development along France Avenue.
