Last year PTMA was added as one of the firms that we have our um cash on hand for, which we have different investment options that we had with Misoff. So, there's a balance between the two. So, that one was added in last year. Um, and then I think the other one that we're potentially looking at is um just the OPED funds and making sure that we have the best rate of return on there for the district.

I did um reach out to Adam's Multimedia um aka the Sun Sailor, and they did provide um uh some current rates for us. This is a little bit higher from what I noticed was in the board packet last August of 2025. There was a slight um rate hike in November. So they are honoring that price from last year technically. Um but it is a slight increase but um it would be my recommendation that this would continue to be the official newspaper of record.

The rates themselves uh range from um some rates they're looking at a 1.5% as we look at senior attorney um kind of close to a 1.6 with the clerk um and then kind of an 8% that we've seen in those other two areas. So some averaging out of costs over that as we look at the general market. Um and there again uh as we look at those services those are on an as needed basis that we plan for and look at within budget. uh and then do make sure that we plan plan for any expenditures that would go along with that.

I do support a 2% increase. Um that will cost approximately $125 per person or under $900 in total. And then it is always important to kind of put that increase in context. it uh is below the I don't know approximately 3% increase in inflation from the last time we voted on this meaning that in real terms the the wages paid to board members decline compared to the cost of living.

but also um you know just explaining some of my thinking that we have just come out of a year where we cut you know a few million $3 million and this year um I mean initial projections I don't I don't know exactly. I don't think it's ready yet but it's going to be another year where we're going to be looking at cuts again. I'm you know I'd be willing to wager that. Um so in the and and again it's not a material amount of money but it is a signal uh to the system and you know or whatever that we need to control costs where we can.

This is a composition of about 40 districts in the general metro area um that serves a strong purpose for advocacy, for lo lobbying, um for professional development, um and a host of other uh K12 or you know prek through 22 supports. Um, as you all know of recently, I served on the executive committee for that and I can uh personally attest that this is an organization that is a strong background uh backbone for um K12 uh systems here in the metro area.

And uh I I would say that this is a great organization to uh uh serve as an onboarding for uh a lot of the policy and procedure for for school boards. I know probably many of you have participated in a a host of their trainings. uh I think by requirement MSBA 1 and two are are ones that u uh all board members are expected to attend plus the auxiliary trainings that they host and their annual conference that I think we uh I don't know maybe you we've participated in that as well.

So this is for the new impervious that we're creating with the dome project. And so based on that, the city's required us to provide water quality for that. And so that's being provided by this rain garden that we're proposing in the area just west of where the dome is going to go. ... The city requires access to that just in case there was ever a drainage issue that was somehow imposing a um an issue towards public safety or a detriment to someone else's property.

It's it's rare that you say like this is permanent, but and I believe the the nature of that language is just to ensure you don't you won't go build a shed on top of it. So you're you're saying you're providing water quality in that particular location. So, you're obligating that area to remain just as grass um and not put anything in there that would impede the the purpose that that we're using it for, which is satisfy the water quality requirements of the city.
