You have led us fearlessly through district and community events that have been stressful, that have been exciting, that have even been heart-wrenching. Um, and no organization and no person can be perfect, but time and time again, you've demonstrated a willingness to listen, to adapt, to explain, and to advocate for our community members who need it the most.

I I think that that shortch changes the public, it short changes the community when that has to happen because then the discussion is not, you know, in the open live at the moment. Um, and so, you know, one and and I think that, you know, some of that was alluded to in how the petition was written.

Director Thompson's leadership style uh is steady and I um respectfully would uh add that um I believe Director Thompson is a collaborative leader um and would just bring a different approach um and perhaps keep discussions moving um more efficiently, more focused.

when we're talking about bringing up concerns, doing good, when we're talking about like for like all-incclusive board um, discussions and engagement, that means every single person of our community and not a concentrated voice. And so that's what I mean when I say let's be more collaborative because that has not been happening.

Director Roer, I am extremely excited. I I mentioned this in the uh the workshop that uh director WG just referred us to watch, but um you are a relentless and powerful voice for all communities. That has been by far and away one of your greatest strengths and I know that you will um fulfill all the duties of the vice chair very well and thank you so much for being willing to do it.

Um I just want to say thank you for being willing to serve in this capacity. You know, I think our diversity in every single way makes us richer as a community and um if anyone had suggested that I would be nominated for this, I would decline it. So I'm so grateful that you love this work, that you're committed to it, and it's vital work for us. So, thank you for working um endeavoring to ensure that our our our work that we do collectively is transparent and with our finances and giving the community more access to that.

I think you are incredible treasurer. Thank you for leading our finance our difficult and very complex finance discussions over the past two years that I have been on the board. I thoroughly enjoy listening to you. Um and I um in answering all of uh Clerk Thompson's uh very critical questions of our budget so profoundly.

Um thank you for being willing to step up and excited to to learn. It's a lot to take on um, as a new member and I'm grateful to you. I would say from my time as clerk um, one of the things I really appreciated is you get to check off one item in your board packet prep because you've already reviewed the minutes.
