[0:00] uh talk about our bullying prevention
[0:01] efforts currently and where we're at as
[0:03] a district.
[0:04] >> Yeah. Um our bullying prevention efforts
[0:06] as you know um have been part of the
[0:07] schoolboard goals for a number of years
[0:09] focusing on the reduction of bullying um
[0:12] understanding what it is and what it
[0:13] isn't and how to report it. And so we
[0:16] have adopted a new social emotional
[0:17] learning curricular resource at the
[0:18] elementary. It's called purposeful
[0:20] people under the umbrella of character
[0:22] strong. And within that um throughout
[0:24] the 36 week scope of a school year,
[0:27] there are embedded um very targeted
[0:29] lessons around bullying prevention, how
[0:32] to advocate for yourself, how to
[0:33] address, um what we call friendship
[0:35] friction. It's also very important to
[0:37] help students and families understand
[0:40] that there is a difference between
[0:41] bullying and typical friendship um
[0:44] discord, friendship friction like we
[0:46] call it.
