[0:00] Everything's got to be nice and [0:01] straight. [0:01] >> It's really rewarding and it's fun once [0:04] you get the hang of it. It's a little [0:05] difficult for like the first 5 10 rows, [0:08] but after you get that going, then it's [0:10] basically feeding it through and then [0:12] pulling it back. [0:12] >> We're looking at American Indian arts [0:14] and crafts and looking at the kind of [0:16] the history of the storytelling and why [0:18] they're making the beaded looms. [0:19] >> We had to make a drawing of our design, [0:22] sketch it out on paper, but first we had [0:24] to research it. Then we could just start [0:26] going and we could make earrings or a [0:28] bracelet. and I made a bracelet. [0:30] >> What I chose to do was kind of a flower [0:32] pattern. [0:33] >> I chose repetitive design. It's [0:35] definitely a lot different than just [0:36] like putting bracelets on a string. [0:38] >> It's great just to give them the [0:39] materials and a little bit of [0:41] instruction and watch them enhance what [0:43] they already have. I really want to [0:45] thank the Minnitanka Schools Foundation [0:47] for for enhancing our curriculum. [0:49] >> I think it shows that our school really [0:50] cares about the American Indian culture, [0:53] especially because we live in Minnesota, [0:54] so it's just really cool to make like a [0:56] project about it.
