[0:14] An event like this that connects the [0:16] concept of veterans to real people, [0:20] young and old, who have served makes a [0:22] lasting memory for our students. Every [0:25] year on November 11th, Americans pay [0:28] tribute to veterans from every branch of [0:30] the armed forces. This holiday, [0:32] originally called Armmesus Day, [0:35] commemorates the end of the fighting in [0:37] World War [0:37] >> I. [0:46] >> So, who are veterans? [0:48] Veterans are people who have served in [0:49] the army, navy, air force, marine [0:52] corpse, coast guard, also space force. [0:54] So they are the heroes who have [0:56] dedicated their lives to keep us safe, [0:58] protect our freedoms. Some of they may [1:00] be your family members, neighbors, or [1:02] someone sitting next to you. [1:03] >> Did you have any friends in the [1:05] military? [1:07] >> That is a great question. I'll say this, [1:09] you have so many friends in the [1:11] military. I would say that the [1:13] friendships in the military, that's what [1:15] kind of helps um move you along when [1:17] you're training, when you're deployed. [1:26] >> Proud of all we have done fighting till [1:29] the battle's won and the army goes [1:32] rolling along. [1:37] My boys [1:42] Let's stand and give a hand to all our [1:44] servicemen and women.
