I just became a little kid [0:06] like anybody else, but I had one hand, [0:08] right? That was that was the difference [0:10] for me. [0:10] >> We're super excited to have a guest [0:13] speaker here. And Ryan Hack is the [0:15] author of Different is Awesome. He is a [0:19] nub just like me and he's awesome. [0:21] >> We're all different in some way or [0:23] another and that's amazing. I'm bringing [0:25] a message of kindness and inclusion. The [0:28] kids include others no matter what they [0:30] look like. I really find that that seems [0:32] to be a powerful connection point. [0:34] >> They've asked questions like, "Can you [0:36] swim? Can you ride a bike?" Rather than, [0:39] you know, "What are the things you can't [0:40] do?" [0:41] >> Like that makes it so then people don't [0:43] ask me, "Is your arm cut off? What [0:45] happened?" Now people just like know me. [0:48] >> And seeing them engage with that idea [0:51] and respond to it has been incredible. [0:54] what makes them awesome. And I just [0:56] think it's a really great thing for kids [0:58] to think about.
